Moving to new Web host

I’ll be moving to a new Web host and server over the coming long weekend (28-30 May 2005). During the transition, some features (search, comments, etc.) of the this blog may not be available, or for (hopefully brief) periods it may be entirely inaccessible.

A shout to John Taylor (a/k/a Skunkmonk Hosting) for helping get this blog online, and providing a home for it for the last several years, as one of his many labors of love.

Rest assured that my blog, Web site, and e-mail will continue to be hosted in Canada (not the USA), and will continue to be protected by Canadian laws including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.

Lots to blog about. If all goes well, I’ll be back blogging Tuesday.

Which web host did you decide on? I am looking for a host with similar characteristics: hosted in Canada and the ability to develop the site myself.
